TOUCHSTONE METERING STS SMART PREPAID MULTI JET METER
The most technologically advanced and versatile Standard Transfer Specification (STS) prepaid water meter on the market. The meter is approved by the South African National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications (NRCS) and the independent Communications Authority (ICASA) and complies with IEC + 27 82 4621 262, 51.
- Has multiple communication methods for data transfer and issuing meter commands that include GPRS/NB-IOT and LoRa or LoRaWAN - the customer can elect which method the meter should employ.
- Is able to switch from prepaid to post-paid mode.
- Has both AMR (automatic meter reading) and AMI (advanced metering infrastructure or remote valve control) functionality.
- GPRS version offers flow limitation
- Has a plastic body and is available in class B or C and in both DN15 and DN 20 variants.
- Is UV resistant.
- PC board is nano coated and in a fully sealed potted module. Meter is IP 68 rated and has a water proof motor.
- Is able to have its firmware upgraded in field, either via a reserved port or by infrared.
SIGFOX SMART WATER METER
Sigfox Type Smart water meter integrates both Bluetooth and Sigfox communication. There is a module inside for bi-directional communication , between the meter, the CIU and head end system. It supports TWO working modes.
STS PREPAID SOLUTION
In STS Prepaid Working Mode, it consists of a smart water meter, Bluetooth CIU and can take a token generated by a smart meter management system. The meter complies with International protocol IEC62055-41,51. Customers able to purchase water through various means such as a vending station, a third party vendor or a customer self service channel by E-payment to get a 20-digits Token, which could be transferred to the meter via Bluetooth CIU or through an app on a smart vending solution. The valve will be open/close correspondingly.
AMI Solution
By connecting to the Sigfox network, the Touchstone Sigfox, smart water meter can implement Remote Automatic Meter Data Upload for Bill Generation ,or Data Analyzing, and remote Control by Application Platform.
BLUETOOTH STS SMART PREPAID WATER METER
Touchstone Bluetooth STS Prepaid Water Meter (Hereafter referred as the Bluetooth Water Meter) is a multi-jet impeller water meter integrated with a smart electronic module with Bluetooth Communication Technology that is makes it possible to extract data remotely using our head end system.The meter complies WITHSTS Protocol IEC+ 27 82 4621 262,51 and using bluetooth communication.
The Bluetooth STS prepaid smart meters allows for various methods of recharging the credit in the meters,including though a remote vending system, mobile phone and third party vendors. via a 20 digit token.

DCU–DATA COLLECTION UNIT
The Data Collection Unit, or DCU, is used to aggregate meter data to the cloud for data consumption. This device uses GPRS to transmit the complements data to the relevant server. It the Touchstone metering solution by enabling the systems to provide both AMR and AMI.
SERVICE TERMINAL
The Service Terminal is a portable android-based smart device, that has custom mobile applications to perform walk-by and drive-by AMR and meter diagnostics via RF (Radio Frequency) and onsite prepaid vending with a built in printer.
